Are nonprofits allowed to resell donations?

Yes, by default. We recognize the importance of resale for nonprofits' fundraising goals and are committed to supporting it. Many nonprofits operate thrift stores to raise funds for various programs and initiatives. Additionally, nonprofits may opt to auction off donations to further fundraising efforts.

However, resale can pose challenges for some brands and some donations may be designated to restrict resale. We will provide clear communication whenever donations have resale restrictions. When an item cannot be resold it will be apparent on the item listing and at the checkout page. You can always remove an item from your cart before checkout.

How do I specify that my donation should not be resold?

Inform your account executive when listing your donations.

I donated an item, but it's now listed for sale elsewhere. What can I do?

If you didn't specify that a donation should not be resold, nonprofits have the option to do so. All nonprofits on LiquiDonate are verified 501c3 organizations and adhere to our code of conduct. If you have concerns about how a donation is being used, please contact customer support at support@liquidonate.com.

If you have explicitly indicated that an item is not eligible for resale, kindly contact support@liquidonate.com promptly. We will initiate appropriate measures and collaborate with you and the nonprofit involved to address this matter diligently.
