What is Restricted Use Of Donation?

Some donated items may be under an additional agreement dependent on the donor. When this is the case, the additional agreement terms will be outlined before checkout can be completed. An example of a restriction is the agreement to not resell the goods.

Use of Gift - It is understood and agreed that the organization will use the in-kind donation in furtherance of its mission and for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Code in the US, or within the charitable purpose categories of relief of poverty, advancement of education, advancement of religion, or other purposes that benefit the community within the Income Tax Act in Canada. In connection therewith, organization may redistribute all or a portion of the in-kind donation to the individuals or entities it serves; provided, however, that the organization shall not sell, redistribute or otherwise dispose of the Property in return for compensation.
